A quite special museum is the basket weaver museum in Dalhausen. Covering 380 square metres of exhibition area numerous original exhibits as well as comprehensive text information and picture information explain the old-established history of the basket weaver's trade in Dalhausen.

Farm museum at the Erlenhof: as a treasure in the museum scenery the farm museum presents itself at the Erlenhof which is situated next to Herstelle. Far away from museum boredom you can enjoy nostalgia as well as local history and geography very closely.

Next to the castle Herstelle, in which in former times Annette von Droste-Hülshoff and the brothers Grimm were counted among the guests, you come across the Benedictine's abbey of the holy cross which had its 100-year-old existence in the year 1999.
