

The Weserbergland tourism registered association (WT) is a regional tourism federation which has the task to bundle up the variety of the information, offers and contents of the region and to represent the umbrella brand Weserbergland touristy national and international.
In his "interface function" the WT has the following different tasks:
- Formation of the umbrella brand name Weserbergland - grouping of tourist information (brochures, Internet) - product policy - lobby work - sales promotion - market research - member support / attendance
Projects like the Weser Cycle Route, Nordic Walking or quite currently the canoeing on the Weser are some topics of the WT work. The Weserbergland is a very extensive area and it has many interesting fields which must be taken into consideration. Therefore a lot of networking has to be done.
The WT was founded in 1902 under the name "Wesergebirgsverein". After some name changes and a new foundation in 1947 the federation got his today's name in 2002. Members of the WT are the five administrative districts Hameln-Pyrmont, Holzminden, Minden-Lübbecke, Northeim and Schaumburg, different cities and municipalities, medicinal baths, traffic associations as well as other tourist institutions.
Since end of 2005 the WT is certificated with the stamp of "Service Quality Germany". The team of the WT is always anxious to improve the service for the guests of the region.
