Renaissance Centre Hamelin

All the different facets of Erlebniswelt Renaissance® are brought together in its impressive centre in the Hamelin Wedding House. Behind its historic façade the Renaissance lives on in all its fascinating aspects in the ultra-modern interior: Galileo and Einstein are talking excitedly about their understanding of time. Alongside them a news correspondent is reporting aghast about the Turkish siege of Vienna – and at the next moment you can look over Albrecht Dürer’s shoulder in his workshop as he explains the principle of perspective to his pupils.
On three levels and at 30 theme islands (three of which we have mentioned here) high-tech presentations let to experience how this incomparable period had its effect on people.

The different levels are structured by themes:
Ground floor: Reception, shop, theme fare
1st floor: trade and discoveries
2nd floor: science and the arts
Top floor: everyday life
